I'm a multi-media artist living in Summerville, South Carolina. I create portraits of Frida Kahlo and Lady of Guadalupe on wood. I use acrylic paint and resin. In addition, I create trees of life, using handmade beads (made out of polymer clay), acrylic paint and resin.
I make beaded necklaces and I also create Mexican folk art. I decoupage frames and wish/god boxes as well.
I use wood and canvas board, acrylic paint, polymer clay, resin and Picasso beads that I buy from artists on Etsy.
One of my brother's passed away from Adrenomyeloneloneuropathy (AMN) on the Day of the Dead in 2001, so I'm drawn to Mexican folk art, and I celebrate his life on Day of the Dead. I also lost another brother to ALD in 1961.
My nephew, Michael, lost his battle with AMN on February 25th, 2020. He is sorely missed.
